Sunday evening I had the opportunity to return to one of my favourite macro locations of the recent years. I used to go out for a stroll regularly in Aston Rowant NNR when we lived closer. These chalk hills have quite a variety of flora and fauna and what I especially likes, lots of different species of orchids. I had the duty to take my sister-in-law to Heathrow so on the way back I left the motorway and stopped here.
New year, new resolutions. One of them is that I'm going to do more photography and update my blog content fortnightly. We'll see how it goes. :)
I had two days holiday left from last year so I decided to take them and go somewhere to shoot seascapes. Winter is the best time to visit the south coast of the UK. Most of the time both the Sunrise and the Sunset happen in the right directions giving perfect shooting conditions. And also not to forget that you don't have to wake up too early and stay up too long for that. But there can be a disadvantage, the weather. It can be rough sometimes. I don't mind the cold but can't take strong wind. Fortunately it wasn't windy at all this time.
I had a free weekend without my family at the beginning of August so I decided to go somewhere and have a photo weekend. I wanted to go to the seaside to take some seascapes. I can either go to Wales or down to Dorset, they are the same distance from home. The last couple of years I spent some time at the south coast, now I rather picked Wales. I wanted to visit the Gower peninsula where I’ve already been to but that wasn’t a photo orientated trip. This time I focused on it as a photography location.
As I mentioned in my last post I had planned to shoot Bluebells and Wild Garlic by the stream next to my village. Weather-wise the last two evenings were really nice so I grabbed my camera bag and left with hope to shoot some nice close-up photos.
I haven't been out for a walk for a while now. The weather has been terrible recently. Either it was raining or it was bitterly cold. During our regular weekly swimming trip I always notice a nice looking lone tree along the road. I planned to shoot it.
