ON LOCATION: 24/01/19 - Jurassic Coast

New year, new resolutions. One of them is that I'm going to do more photography and update my blog content fortnightly. We'll see how it goes. :)

I had two days holiday left from last year so I decided to take them and go somewhere to shoot seascapes. Winter is the best time to visit the south coast of the UK. Most of the time both the Sunrise and the Sunset happen in the right directions giving perfect shooting conditions. And also not to forget that you don't have to wake up too early and stay up too long for that. But there can be a disadvantage, the weather. It can be rough sometimes. I don't mind the cold but can't take strong wind. Fortunately it wasn't windy at all this time.

ON LOCATION: 11/08/18 - Four Falls Walk

I promised to continue the story of the day when I shot the Sunrise at Mumbles lighthouse. As it was still very early and the weather forecast told mostly overcast during the day I decided to visit one of the iconic trail of the Brecon Beacons, the Four Falls Walk. After a short stopover at Sainsbury’s I was on the road. It took me only 45 minutes to get to the car park. Unfortunately it was a pay and display car park and I didn’t have any coin with me. So I had to look for a different solution. Fortunately I remember seeing a small car park halfway there. Eventually I chose that one which was a good decision. The waterfalls were much closer.

ON LOCATION: 10/08/18 - Gower peninsula

I had a free weekend without my family at the beginning of August so I decided to go somewhere and have a photo weekend. I wanted to go to the seaside to take some seascapes. I can either go to Wales or down to Dorset, they are the same distance from home. The last couple of years I spent some time at the south coast, now I rather picked Wales. I wanted to visit the Gower peninsula where I’ve already been to but that wasn’t a photo orientated trip. This time I focused on it as a photography location.

ON LOCATION: 02/07/18 - Lake District - Buttermere And Ennerdale

As promised in my previous post I was going to write about our round-the-lake walks. Buttermere Lake and Crummock Water are connected by a stream and almost touching one another. But Crummock Water is at least double the size so we rather picked Buttermere Lake for a walk.

ON LOCATION: 31/07/18 - Lake District - Ullswater And Greendale

We bought some vouchers a couple of month ago for Ullswater Steamers so it was obvious that we visited the lake. It took about an hour and a half to drive to the northern shore of the lake. After leaving the car in a car park we walked to the pier of Pooley Bridge. Our plan was to get off the boat at Howtown pier which sits approximately in the middle of the lake. From here to Glenridding along the lakeshore one of the most beautiful walks of the Lake District was promised. Of course my camera was ready for action...
